I worked at Interstate Bakeries back in 1962-63. I remember those french pastry snack cakes. Loved them. It was a chocolate-coated sponge cake with vanilla nucreme filling, with 2 pecans applied to the top.

I don't remember the pecans but I do remember the tan ones had toasted coconut on top.The cake was like a yellow layer, covered in chocolate with the white creamy filling in the center.They were oblong and about 6-8 inches long.They were sooooooooo goooooooood and not real expensive.We could buy them at the little neighbor grocery.With the price of inflation nowdays they would probably be 3-4 bucks each but I sure would love to sink my teeth into one.

I REMEMBER THESE FROM MY CHILDHOOD. sURE WISH THEY MADE THEM NOW. THOSE WERE TH MOST DELICIOUS SNACKFOOD I HAVE EVER EATEN. WOULD PAY ALOT FOR THEM AGAIN.
