Banning of motorcycle riders in all cities in Abia State is
counter productive.
Government has failed to create employment opportunities in
the state. It should not have banned motorcyle riders when
jobs are not provided.
States like Lagos, Edo and Delta still have commercial motorcyle riders in their cities - working during the hours of 7.00am and 7.00p.m. Same can be replicated in Abia State.
As an Abian living Edo State but working in Delta State I am privilaged to have first hand information about the security situations in these two states. The two states are relatively peaceful. Therefore, the Governor of Abia State should not use security threat as an excuse to impoverish his citizens when no job opportunities is created by his government.
