As a small child I remember going to Iroquois Park on various types of outings and visiting a very steep pit often referred to as "fossil pit". At that time which I can safely say was between forty and fifty years ago, there was an abundance of petrified materials. Are they (the fossils) as prevalent today or have they disappeared over time?
