Are their any Listons left in Indianola Iowa, we are descendents of the Listons our great great grandfather was one of the first men that came here in Indianola Iowa starting the first methodist episcopal church, as stated in the book HIstory of Warren County 1879 . Jesse Liston also owned a grocer, where his son William worked, until he took ownership or had build the Book store thier at simpsons college. He married Sophia St.John, both william and sophia were insturmental in helping Mr. George Washington Carver. Anway , was wondering if any of jesses siblings descendents still live in Iowa or St.John families we have about 80 photos dating from 1860 to 1930 of listons and St.John family. We also have a picture of the house that was built by William which i understand it still stands today.
