I'm not. In fact, I think the coming hoopla is just that... hoopla but I'm interested in the seeming convergence of many things.

I would like to discuss this convergence in a non hysterical fashion. There seems to be an opportunity here to get people talking and thinking about things that are going on in the world and that is always an opportunity I want to encourage.

I don't believe in the end of the world. I don't believe that any god from any book or church is going to save us. I do believe we need to start thinking about how to save ourselves as a species.

thanks

My friend, I can see you must be fairly young and have not experienced life for more than a few decades. Your perception of life around you doesn't even seem to include much knowledge of written History that preceeds anything before MTV or Bill Gates.

You have a detached understanding of REAL LIFE based on a SYNTHESIZED MASS perception of "VIRTUAL REALITY".

Don't you understand that "VIRTUAL PERCEPTIONS" are JUST THAT....Perceptions...NOT Reality?

If somehow you believe that the Solutions to Life's problems that surround us are to be carried out by "US", just remeber WHO created this mess we have around us!

If I where a Company Manager hired to solve the Problems that Enron had, I would start by getting RID of ALL THE MANAGERS! Then I would go to the Worker Bees and fire them for their DUMB BLIND TRUST. Then I would place a lock on the front door and look for a New Job.

You obviously haven't traveled much of the World and experienced what is making it tick.

It's a bunch of MAD MEN who refuse to release the Reigns of Power and are BENT on enriching themselves and solving our problems FOR us.

My friend...You better HOPE there is a God. And get your head out of your Virtual ___ before you rudely experience what lies ahead....REALITY AS IT REALLY IS!!!

I have recently learned (today), thanks to a friend I've never met and probably never will, that while earnest and honest, my enthusiasm for certain things is naive. I bow to that.
I am intelligent, curious, reasonably well read, polite and kind. I am also very new to this whole sum of human knowledge and experience at your fingertips thing. I accept your criticisms.

To think that we cannot fix the mess because we made it is foolish. To declare the many cannot overcome the few is sad.

Why is it impossible for a single voice to begin a conversation that leads to change? Why would anyone stifle that voice?

I am not young physically (my heart has remained open and innocent despite life's best effort, it is my greatest treasure)
I am not wealthy or highly educated. I have no power. All I have is a voice, naive or not, foolish or not. If I was created by a god for a purpose then this is what I was given as tools to use the best way I can.
If there is no god, then the simple fact remains, this is what I have to work with.

infinite diversity in infinte combination

thanks
