Anyone know the manufacturer of clockworks displaying the profile of a lion overtop of the intials U.M. or V.M.? I found it stamped on the back of the clockworks of a longcase clock that I understand was shipped to Canada in the early part of the 20th century. I am told it is the logo of English tradespeople during the mid-19th century. Anyone have any ideas?
