Am entering travers for a road. using points identified as n....... and e......... for example. when i start my next traverse and enter new points the lines or points that are coincident do not line up... the are always within 5 to 10 ft of where they should be

are these n and e points idendified needing a conversion.
am working in a state plane
i do not understand why these points on the plat do not line up when i show them on the drawing as being correctly labled
