Flugelhorn

About 10 years ago, I bought a flugelhorn on ebay labeled as a "Lafayette" brand. I found it difficult to play in tune (I am an experienced trumpet player) on many pitches and have not used it very often, mostly at home for practice. Recently I have done some research about mouthpieces and have found several references to improving intonation and quality of sound with a better mouthpiece. I would like to replace the MP that came with the instrument but am confused about to shank types and sizes. I borrowed the MP that came with a Yamaha flugelhorn from a friend which is much too small for the receiver of mine. My bach trumpet mouthpieces fit quite nicely and do sound a bit better when I play. My question is: are there mouthpieces made with flugelhorn in mind that have the same or similar shank dimensions to trumpet mouthpieces that would possibly work for me? Or will a trumpet mouthpiece of larger cup diameter and depth work justs as well?
Thank you for any input.
