A question on the rules: recently a member of the opposing side cleared away several stones before the last one was played. Since this was a friendly game the outcome was not an issue but what would be the official rule if the skips of each side could not decide where to replace the stones that were moved. Clearly if only one stone is moved as described it should be replaced in the original position, but in the case of this incident about four stones were moved. Can anyone tell me what the official rule is if the competition were not a friendly game but a serious one on which much depended.
