I have discovered a new aircraft type. Please see www.tiltplane.com. In this new type of aircraft the whole aircraft tilts from vertical when landed to horizontal when cruising. When landed it is a tail sitter. When it takes off the axis of the craft is initially vertical but as it climbs it begins to tilt it's axis in the direction of flight until the the axis is horizontal when it is up to flight speed. This process is reversed to land.

Advantages:
1) VTOL takeoff and landing with high cruise efficiency. The cruise efficiency can exceed the cruise efficiency of fixed-wing aircraft because the area of the rotor blades can be less than the wing areas and control surface areas of conventional aircraft.
2) Can fly through rough air turbulence with far less accelerations than conventional aircraft because fast servo drives will dynamically adjust the lift of the individual rotor blades.
