A friend of mine is addicted to the Ukraine personals and thinks this is up and up. I on the other hand have read so many scams regarding these sites. He is currently speaking to a young woman and I am just waiting for the day that she ask for money and he does, my question is has any one on this forum spoke to a allygold@ymail.com and is she part of a scam in the Ukraine.

Thanks

There is an excellent discussion on detecting Russian scams on the website RomanceScam.com In the discussion there, the writer gives several tips on detecting scams. Check the headers to see where the emails come from -- the center of scam activity in the Ukraine is said to be in the Lugansk area. I believe, contrary to widespread opinion, that many of the girls there are poor enough that they legitimately need help with translation costs, especially if there are several letters a month. If a request comes in for money for any other reason, be extremely skeptical. Real emergencies do happen, but you are well-advised to look through RomanceScam's data base of scammers to see if this lady shows up.
At the same time, be a bit skeptical about scammer reports. They sometimes accuse women of using another person's photos, when, in fact, the lady in question simply RESEMBLES a celebrity -- and the authors are not careful about making sure that the photos are genuinely stolen. Make sure to get a WHOLE BUNCH of pictures -- including very intimate ones -- truly intimate pictures of celebrities are very hard to get, and are clearly posed when seen.
