A friend of mine is about to do a frame up resto on his 68 Shelby 500KR. When he bought the car years ago, he was told it had a NOM transmission, so he has located a correct Shelby 4 speed trans to put back into the car during re-assembly. Now the juicy news.... It is believed to be a Boss 429 4-sped trans that is in the car now, according to the person doing the resto. What I am trying to find out is, can someone provide the trans case #'s that would infact ID this 4 speed as a Boss 429 item?
