A friend has a silver beaker-style (julep?) cup presented to an ancestor for being "the best shot in the company" during the Civil War. The cup's hallmark is "St. Joseph, Mo" and its fading engraving looks like "NWAI Mo". Does anyone know what the NWAI might stand for, and if there are records that might tell us who this was presented to?
