Showcasing the unforgettable humor of its host, Garrison Keillor, America’s foremost humorist, A Prairie Home Companion is a weekly public radio show known for its folk and traditional music guests, tongue-in-cheek radio dramas complete with sound effects, and Keillor’s signature storytelling segment, “News from Lake Wobegon.” Created by Keillor in 1974, the radio show inspired Robert Altman’s 2006 film of the same name. The “Summer Love” Tour is not the weekly broadcast, but an evening-length performance indistinguishable to fans of the radio show. Listen to A Prairie Home Companion in our area on WNYC 93.9 FM (NYC, Sat. 6pm), WNYC 820 AM (NYC, Sat. 6pm, Sun. 11am), WHYY 90.9 FM (Philadelphia, Sat. 6pm, Sun. 2pm) and the stations of the NJ Public TV & Radio Network Sat. 6pm, Sun. 12 noon: WNJT 88.1 FM (Trenton), WNJM 89.9 FM (Manahawkin), WNJN 89.7 FM (Atlantic City), WNJZ 90.3 FM (Cape May), WNJB 89.3 FM (Bridgeton), WNJS 88.1 FM (Berlin).
