In April of 1963 while living in the US controlled and operated Panama Canal Zone, I ordered and received a crated US Spec RGS motorcycle. The motorcycle was ordered directly the factory from the BSA factory in Birmingham using a Birmingham export agent because there were no bona fide motorcycle dealers in the Canal Zone.

This RGS machine had a very unusual first year that I would think would be of great interest to the current owner (if there is one).

I have two questions:
1. How can I find out who currently owns the bike (if it still exists)?
2. I have forgotten what gearbox was factory fitted to the machine. I remember that it did not have the usual STD T2 gear box and I am quite sure it did not have the ARRT close ratio gearbox. I have owned GS machines that were fitted with the RTT2 gearboxs and my US Spec RGS had something else because it just wasn't that high geared!
