Pasupatinath Temple so far has been publicized as Hindu Temple. But recently, the finding 1700 years old Buddha Statue , Budhha Chakra and Budda Stupa in Pasupatinath Temple prevails it is Buddhist temple before Malla King period. Please visit the following site in Pasupatinath Temple:
1.Buddha Chakra : There is Buddha Chakra engraved on stone and placed on bricks wall 3 meters north of BASUKI NAAG inside the main Pasupatinath Temple.
2.1700 Years Buddha Statue : There is 1700 years old Buddha Statue at the 100 meters south of Raj Aryaghat (deadbody burning place) in Pasupatinath.
3.1700 Years Buddhist Stupa : There is 1700 years old Buddhist Stupa named “Namo Buddha Chaitya” 300 meters south of Biswarup Temple in east jungle of Pasupatinath.
4.Tilopa and Naropa Buddhist Yogi’s meditation cave : Two well known Buddhist yogi’s meditation cave east-north of Pasupati Temple along the bank of Bagamati river.
