Volans (pronouced voe' lans) is the 76th most volumous constellation in the night sky with an area of 141 square degrees. The name of Volans means Flying Fish.

Location:
Volans is located at RA 8 h and Declination -70°. Volans is best seen between latitudes +15° and -90° in the month of March. Volans is bordered by the following constellations: Carina, Chamaeleon, Dorado, Mensa, Pictor.
