Overview:
The constellation Ursa Minor (pronouced er' suh my' nor) is the 56th most volumous constellation in the night sky with an area of 256 square degrees. The name of this constellation means Small Bear.

Location:
Ursa Minor is located at RA 15 h and Declination +75°. It is best seen between the latitudes +90° and -10° in the June. Ursa Minor is bordered by the following constellations: Camelopardalis, Cepheus, Draco.

Stars:
Ursa Minor contains within its borders about 18 visible stars. The principal star of Ursa Minor is Polaris. The brightest star is p1 UMi (70.8 ly). This constellation also contains within its boundries the following noteworthy stars: Kochab, Pherkad, Polaris, Yildun.
