Sextans (pronouced sex' tans) is the 47th most volumous constellation in the night sky with an area of 314 square degrees. The name of this constellation means Sextant.

Location:
Sextans is located at Right Ascension 10 h and Declination 0°. It is best seen between the latitudes +80° and -80° in the April. Sextans is bordered by the following constellations: Crater, Hydra, Leo.
