Scorpius (pronouced skor' pee us) is the 33rd largest constellation in the night sky with
an area of 497 square degrees. The name of this constellation means Scorpion.
Location:
Scorpius is located at RA 16 h 53 m 15 s and Declination "-30° 44' 12""°".
It is best seen between latitudes +40° and -90° in the July.
Scorpius is adjacent to the following constellations: Ara,
Corona Australis,
Libra,
Lupus,
Norma,
Ophiuchus,
Sagittarius.
