an area of 673 square degrees. The name of Puppis means Stern.
Location:
Puppis is located at Right Ascension 7.5 h and Declination -30°.
It is best seen between the latitudes +40° and -90° in the February.
Puppis is bordered by the following constellations: Canis Major,
Carina,
Columba,
Hydra,
Monoceros,
Pictor,
Pyxis,
Vela.
