Overview:
Pavo (pronouced pah' voe) is the 44th most volumous constellation in the night sky with an area of 378 square degrees. The name of this constellation means Peacock.

Location:
Pavo is located at RA 20 h and Declination -65°. Pavo is best seen between the latitudes +30° and -90° in the August. Pavo is adjacent to the following constellations: Apus, Ara, Indus, Octans, Telescopium.

Stars:
Pavo contains within its borders about 28 visible stars. The principal star of Pavo is Joo Tseo. The brightest of Pavo's stars is d Pav (19.91 ly). Pavo also contains within its boundries the following notable stars: Peacock.
