Overview:
Libra (pronouced lye' bruh) is the 29th most volumous constellation in the night sky with an area of 538 square degrees. The name of Libra means Scales.

Location:
Libra is located at RA 15 h and Declination -15°. It is best seen between latitudes +65° and -90° in the June. Libra is bordered by the following constellations: Centaurus, Hydra, Lupus, Ophiuchus, Scorpius, Serpens Caput, Virgo.

Stars:
Libra contains within its borders approximately 35 visible stars. The principal star of Libra is Zuben el Genubi. The brightest star is HD 131977 (19.3 ly). This constellation also contains within its boundries the following notable stars: Zubenelgenubi, Zubenelhakrabi, Zubeneshamali.
