Overview:
Leo (pronouced lee' owe) is the 12th most volumous constellation in the night sky with an area of 947 square degrees. The name of this constellation means Lion.

Location:
Leo is located at RA 11 h and Declination +15°. It is best seen between latitudes +90° and -65° in the April. Leo is bordered by the following constellations: Cancer, Coma Berenices, Crater, Hydra, Leo Minor, Lynx, Sextans, Ursa Major, Virgo.

Stars:
Leo contains within its borders approximately 52 visible stars. The principal star of Leo is Regulus. The brightest of Leo's stars is Wolf 359 (7.78 ly). Leo also contains within its boundries the following notable stars: Adhafera, Algieba, Alterf, Chort, Coxa, Denebola, Rasalas, Regulus, Zosma.
