an area of 243 square degrees. The name of this constellation means Water Snake.
Location:
Hydrus is located at RA 0h 05m - 4h 40m and Declination -58° - -82°.
It is best seen between the latitudes +8° and -90° in the November.
Hydrus is bordered by the following constellations: Dorado,
Eridanus,
Horologium,
Mensa,
Octans,
Phoenix,
Reticulum,
Tucana.
