Description

Overview:
The constellation Equuleus (pronouced ek woo oo' lee us) is the 87th most volumous constellation in the night sky with an area of 72 square degrees. The name of this constellation means LIttle Horse.

Location:
Equuleus is located at RA 21 h and Declination +10°. It is best seen between latitudes +90° and -80° in the September. Equuleus is adjacent to the following constellations: Aquarius, Delphinus, Pegasus.

Stars:
Equuleus contains within its borders about 5 visible stars. The principal star of Equuleus is Kitalpha. The brightest star is d Equ (60 ly). This constellation also contains within its boundries the following noteworthy stars: Kitalpha.
