Overview:
The constellation Draco (pronouced dray' koe) is the 8th most volumous constellation in the night sky with an area of 1083 square degrees. The name of Draco means Dragon.

Location:
Draco is located at Right Ascension 15 h and Declination +75°. Draco is best seen between the latitudes +90° and -15° in the July. Draco is bordered by the following constellations: Bootes, Camelopardalis, Cepheus, Cygnus, Hercules, Lyra, Ursa Major, Ursa Minor.

Stars:
Draco contains within its borders approximately 79 visible stars. The principal star of Draco is Thuban. The brightest star is Struve 2398 (11.5 ly). This constellation also contains within its boundries the following notable stars: Alsaphi, Altais, Alwaid, Arrakis, Dziban, Edasich, Eltanin, Giauzar, Grumium, Kuma, Nodus Secundus, Rastaban, Thuban, Tyl.
