Description

Overview:
Corvus (pronouced kor' vus) is the 70th most volumous constellation in the night sky with an area of 184 square degrees. The name of this constellation means "Crow, Raven".

Location:
Corvus is located at Right Ascension 12 h and Declination -20°. It is best seen between latitudes +60° and -90° in the May. Corvus is bordered by the following constellations: Crater, Hydra, Virgo.

Stars:
Corvus contains within its borders about 11 visible stars. The principal star of Corvus is Alchiba. The brightest of Corvus's stars is a Crv (48.2 ly). Corvus also contains within its boundries the following notable stars: Alchibah, Algorab, Gienah, Kraz.
