The constellation Corona Borealis (pronouced kuh meel' ee un) is the 72nd largest constellation in the night sky with an area of 179 square degrees. The name of Corona Borealis means Northern Crown.

Location:
Corona Borealis is located at Right Ascension 16 h and Declination +30°. Corona Borealis is best seen between latitudes +90° and -50° in the month of July. Corona Borealis is adjacent to the following constellations: Bootes, Hercules, Serpens Caput.

Stars:
Corona Borealis contains within its borders approximately 22 visible stars. The principal star of Corona Borealis is Alphecca. The brightest of Corona Borealis's stars is ? CrB (56.81 ly).
