Description

Overview:
The constellation Cepheus (pronouced see' fee us) is the 27th most volumous constellation in the night sky with an area of 588 square degrees. The name of this constellation means King.

Location:
Cepheus is located at RA 22 h and Declination +70°. It is best seen between the latitudes +90° and -10° in the November. Cepheus is bordered by the following constellations: Camelopardalis, Cassiopeia, Cygnus, Draco, Lacerta, Ursa Minor.

Stars:
Cepheus contains within its borders about 57 visible stars. The principal star of Cepheus is Alderamin. The brightest star is Kruger 60 (13.15 ly). This constellation also contains within its boundries the following noteworthy stars: Alderamin, Alfirk, Alrai, Errai, Kurah.
