Capricornus (pronouced kap rih kor' nus) is the 40th largest constellation in the night sky with an area of 414 square degrees. The name of this constellation means Water Goat.

Location:
Capricornus is located at Right Ascension 21 h and Declination -20°. It is best seen between the latitudes +60° and -90° in the September. Capricornus is adjacent to the following constellations: Aquarius, Aquila, Microscopium, Piscis Austrinus, Sagittarius.
