Bootes (pronouced bow owe' teez) is the 13th largest constellation in the night sky with an area of 907 square degrees. The name of this constellation means Herdsman.

Location:
Bootes is located at RA 15 h and Declination +30°. Bootes is best seen between latitudes +90° and -50° in the month of June. Bootes is bordered by the following constellations: Canes Venatici, Coma Berenices, Corona Borealis, Draco, Hercules, Serpens Caput, Ursa Major, Virgo.
