The constellation Auriga (pronouced or eye' guh) is the 21st largest constellation in the night sky with
an area of 657 square degrees. The name of this constellation means Charioteer.
Location:
Auriga is located at Right Ascension 6 h and Declination +40°.
It is best seen between the latitudes +90° and -40° in the February.
Auriga is bordered by the following constellations: Camelopardalis,
Gemini,
Lynx,
Perseus,
Taurus.
Stars:
Auriga contains within its borders about 47 visible stars. The principal star of Auriga is Capella. The brightest star is HD 37394 (39.92 ly).
