Description

Overview:
The constellation Aquarius (pronouced uh qwayr' ee us) is the 10th most volumous constellation in the night sky with an area of 980 square degrees. The name of Aquarius means Water Bearer.

Location:
Aquarius is located at Right Ascension 23 h and Declination -15°. It is best seen between the latitudes +65° and -90° in the month of October. Aquarius is bordered by the following constellations: Aquila, Capricornus, Cetus, Delphinus, Equuleus, Pegasus, Pisces, Piscis Austrinus, Sculptor.

Stars:
Aquarius contains within its borders about 56 visible stars. The principal star of Aquarius is Sadalmelik. The brightest of Aquarius's stars is EZ Aqr (11.3 ly). This constellation also contains within its boundries the following notable stars: Albali, Ancha, Sadachbia, Sadalmelik, Sadalsuud, Skat.
