an area of 206 square degrees. The name of Apus means Bird of Paradise.
Location:
Apus is located at RA 16 h and Declination -75°.
It is best seen between the latitudes +5° and -90° in the month of July.
Apus is bordered by the following constellations: Ara,
Chamaeleon,
Circinus,
Musca,
Octans,
Pavo,
Triangulum Australe.
Stars:
Apus contains within its borders about 10 visible stars. The principal star of Apus is Alpha Aps. The brightest star is HD 122862 (93.5 ly).
