Overview:
Andromeda (pronouced an draw' meh duh) is the 19th most volumous constellation in the night sky with an area of 722 square degrees. The name of Andromeda means Chained Lady.

Location:
Andromeda is located at RA 1 h and Declination +40°. It is best seen between latitudes +90° and -40° in the November. Andromeda is adjacent to the following constellations: Cassiopeia, Lacerta, Pegasus, Perseus, Pisces, Triangulum.

Stars:
Andromeda contains within its borders approximately 54 visible stars. The principal star of Andromeda is Alpheratz. The brightest of Andromeda's stars is Ross 248 (10.32 ly). This constellation also contains within its boundries the following notable stars: Almach, Alpheratz, Mirach, Sirrah.
